The hospital grew from the dental clinic of Zhejiang Medical University opened in the early 1980s and took its present name in 1999. It is Zhejiang’s centre for dental care, quality control and orthodontics, with three campuses in Hangzhou.
It offers every dental specialty — endodontics (a national key clinical specialty), periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, paediatric dentistry and implants — and collaborates with dental schools in the US, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
