Founded in 1972 on the site of the former Hebei Provincial Hospital, the hospital has about 1,360 beds and 1.7 million outpatient visits a year. Urology is a national key discipline and national key clinical specialty, supported by the Tianjin Institute of Urology and a municipal key laboratory.
It runs a urinary-stone centre, a pain centre, a Gamma Knife centre and the largest haemodialysis unit in north China, and is known for urological cancers, prostate disease, complex arrhythmia ablation and coronary intervention.
