Founded in 2002 as a partnership between the CITIC Group and Central South University’s Xiangya School of Medicine, the hospital grew from the reproductive engineering team led by Professor Lu Guangxiu, a pioneer of IVF and human embryonic stem-cell research in China. It is a private specialist hospital.
It performs one of the largest numbers of IVF cycles in the world and is known for preimplantation genetic testing, a human sperm bank and research in reproductive genetics.
