Founded in 1914, Anding is a municipal Grade 3A psychiatric hospital with 800 beds and a national key clinical specialty in psychiatry. Beyond general psychiatry it has teams for depression, geriatric and child psychiatry, integrative psychiatry, clinical psychology, forensic assessment and psychiatric rehabilitation.
It runs Beijing’s only 24-hour psychiatric emergency department and has joint laboratories with engineering universities on brain research, virtual-reality therapy and neuromodulation. It cooperates with Harvard’s McLean Hospital, Duke, the University of Toronto, McGill and the University of Manchester.
