Ning Guang directs the Shanghai Institute of Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases and founded the Journal of Diabetes. Ning Guang’s research has documented the scale of diabetes in China and its risk factors. Before becoming president of Ruijin Hospital in 2020, Ning Guang was the founding president of Shandong First Medical University (2019).
