Founded in 1958, the hospital has three campuses in Shijiazhuang and one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Orthopaedics and nephrology are national key clinical specialties, and orthopaedics is a Hebei key discipline.
Its orthopaedic surgeons developed the “uneven settlement” theory of knee osteoarthritis, now used in the US, Russia and Japan, and are known for minimally invasive treatment of limb, pelvic and acetabular fractures, bone tumours, joint replacement and arthroscopy. Its surgeons have also performed nearly 400 liver transplants.
