In 2025 Wang Yongjun received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s William M. Feinberg Award for Excellence in Clinical Stroke, the first Asian scientist to receive it in 34 years. The TASTE-2 trial on edaravone dexborneol in stroke patients undergoing thrombectomy, with Wang Yongjun as corresponding author, was published in The BMJ in January 2026.
